Kassima: "There's one time of Turn when I truly fear M'rgan, and that's when his 'lizards are glowing. It's not because he's violent, you understand... it's because his antics keep making me nearly laugh myself to death."

On the shore of Benden's Lake, lengths from Craft or Hold, A group of dragons soak within the waters clear and cold. A man bemused among them babbles incoherently-- But what can you expect from a brownrider who's proddy? Three things see no end: the things in life that you can know, The hides that need copying, and a proddy 'lizard's glow. One among the watchers has a mirthful, amused eye, And as they wash, she laughs so hard she nearly starts to cry. She wears too many jewels, more than she could well afford, And has the look of one who never lets herself be bored. Of three things be wary: one who calls your babe a calf, The klah of M'kla's brewing, and greenriders when they laugh. Little does poor M'rgan care what all the women know: That Cav is there to gather blackmail from this little show. And though the Candidates are doing all that they can do, At least one of them might wind up mentioned in rumors, too. Three things are most perilous: great heaps of dragon dung, The Thread when it is falling, and Salless's flapping tongue. From water, dragons playing splash everyone in great glee, Including Mart, who's now missing a clothes item or three. And all but four are spluttering and trying to get dry: The greenrider, the blackmailer, the dragons, and some guy. Three things the plot shall further: NPCs thrown in at will, A general lack of clothing, and a proddy green's sweet trill. Then to the water, Emlyn topples, in quite little clad; She reaches out at random, and M'rgan's only too glad To provide the support that she's desperately flailing for-- He isn't very lucid, as I think we said before. Three things caused laughter galore, for quite a sight they were: Blue Adonith, the Candidate, and the proddy brownrider. The riders on the beach just roar with laughter at the scene, And C'vadan begins to contemplate a plot quite mean: What would M'rgan's weyrmate say if she learned of this mess? Since Kena hasn't killed him yet, Cav didn't tell, I guess. Three things is it better, far, to avoid at all cost: Questions of Bree's, a vengeful scribe, and Benden's winter frost. The two Reachians free themselves; Kassima only grins, Alyssa blushes redly, and Cav starts to draw again. When it ends, there're even more folk watching the melee; They wanted to see the cause of the commotion, they say. Three things never trust in: brownriders quite bemused, Miners doped up on cookies, and Weyrfolk who look amused. They convince Mart to get dressed, and he goes along his way, Called to the LC by a man who swears Salless will pay For sending him out here with a cup of her strongest tea-- He'll have nightmares for Turns from the sight that he had to see. Three things trust above all else: a creature that you've raised, Your Wingmates in a Threadfall, and that proddy men are crazed! ---Written by Kassima
